Privacy Policy

Last updated October 2026

3D-Scorer uses your Google email address to authenticate your account. We do not ask for or store your name, phone number, physical address, or precise location. Your archery scores are saved in a private Google Sheet in your Google Drive. The app uses necessary authentication and synchronization information to operate. Google, Vercel, and external payment providers may process technical information under their respective privacy policies.

What we collect

Your Google email address. This is the only directly identifying information 3D-Scorer retains. It is used to sign you in and to associate your scores with your account.

Your archery scores. Dates, difficulty levels, target counts and the points you record. These are stored on your device and, if you enable backup, in a private Google Sheet in your own Google Drive.

What we do not collect

3D-Scorer itself contains no advertising trackers, behavioural analytics or marketing pixels. We do not profile you and we do not sell or share your scores with anyone.

The Instagram post on the More screen

There is one exception to the paragraph above, and it is the only third-party code 3D-Scorer runs. The bottom of the More screen embeds a public Instagram post using Instagram’s own embed, which means that opening that screen loads code and images from Meta. Meta therefore receives your IP address, your browser and device details, and the fact that you visited that page, and may set or read its own cookies — under Meta’s privacy policy, not ours. This happens whether or not you have an Instagram account.

Nothing about your archery is involved. Your scores, rounds and account are never sent to Meta. The embed is a picture frame pointing at someone else’s post; it is not given, and cannot read, anything this app stores. Blocking scripts from instagram.com leaves the rest of 3D-Scorer working normally — the post becomes an ordinary link.

Technical information

Running a web application necessarily involves some technical processing. Our hosting provider, Google, and any payment provider you choose to use may process information such as IP addresses, device and browser details, and cookies or similar storage, under their own privacy policies. 3D-Scorer sets a session cookie so you stay signed in. We do not claim that no technical information is processed at all — only that we do not use it to profile, track or advertise to you.

The AI Archery Coach

This is the one feature in 3D-Scorer that sends anything about you outside your own device and your own Google Drive, so it is worth reading carefully.

It does nothing until you press Get coaching tips. There is no automatic request, nothing happens when the screen merely opens, and there is no setting that leaves it switched on. Each press is a separate decision.

When you do press it, your device works out a summary of your scoring and sends that summary to Google’s Gemini API, which writes the advice you see. The screen shows you the exact summary, line by line, before you press anything — the text on that screen is the text that is sent.

The summary contains: how many rounds you have completed, how many targets you have shot, your average and best round as percentages, how much your scores vary, whether you are improving, how often you hit each scoring ring, how your first half of a course compares with your second, and a list of your last ten rounds as target count, difficulty level and percentage.

The summary does not contain: your email address, your name, the dates you shot, the identifiers 3D-Scorer uses for your rounds, your Google Sheet, any link to it, or any free text. There is no field in this app you can type a sentence into, so there is nothing that could carry one.

Google processes that request under its own terms for the Gemini API. 3D-Scorer does not store the summary or the advice anywhere: the advice is shown on screen, it is not written to your device, it is not written to your Google Sheet, and it is gone when you leave the page. Requests are limited to a small number per archer in each ten-minute period.

The advice is generated by a language model from numbers alone. It has not watched you shoot and it can be wrong. It is instructed to give no medical, injury or pain-management advice and to recommend no products — but treat it as a second opinion, not as instruction from someone who knows you or your equipment.

Google access

Signing in requests only your email address. The permission to create and open a spreadsheet is requested separately, and only if you choose to turn on score backup. That permission is limited to files this app creates — it does not grant access to the rest of your Google Drive.

The spreadsheet 3D-Scorer creates is private to your Google account. It is not shared publicly and it is not shared with the developer.

Your control

Children

3D-Scorer is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect information from them.
